Marketing firm expands

Monday 28 January 2013 6:00

Newcastle-based marketing and PR firm Horizonworks has opened a new office in Manchester to tap into new opportunities in the science and technology sector.

The company now has a base at Manchester Science Park in a move which it says will create new jobs on Tyneside as well as in the North West, while significantly growing its turnover.

The company has grown quickly since being founded three years ago this month by Samantha Davidson and now has a team of 10 and turnover approaching the £0.5m mark.

In the coming months Horizonworks aims to develop its client base, team and presence further in Manchester. It is also planning to recruit more staff in its headquarters in Newcastle to cope with the increasing demand for its services

The agency provides an outsourced marketing service for its clients and works across a range of sectors but has a particular strength in the science, healthcare, technology and the professional service sectors.

Samantha Davidson said: “We are very excited to be opening our new office at Manchester Science Park, which is internationally recognised as a groundbreaking centre of excellence with a world-class science and technology community.

“Choosing Manchester Science Park was an obvious choice for us since Horizonworks has a strong track record in the science and technology sectors and we already work with several clients in the North West and Yorkshire.”
