Insurance firm moves on

One of the biggest independent insurance brokers in the region has moved into new premises on Teesside as part of its expansion.

Erimus Insurance Brokers, which changed its name from Teesside Insurance last year, is one of only two Top UK 100 insurance brokers based in the North East.

The company has left its previous home on Middlesbrough’s Riverside Park for larger headquarters on Preston Farm Business Park in Stockton.

The move has coincided with the arrival to the firm of new recruitment director Ian Miller who most recently worked for Darlington-based BIB, and BE Thompson & Co in Richmond before that.

“Having won some major new clients, we are looking to recruit more staff, starting with a high quality director in Ian, who has a loyal following within the industry. He shares our values and can contribute to our ongoing growth and success,” said commercial director Paul Davison

The new Erimus HQ comprises plush offices, boardroom, conference room and first class staff areas featuring kitchen, staff room, shower, changing facilities and a chill-out suite.

Erimus specialise in business-to-business insurance, offering professional insurance broking and risk management services to a wide industry sector.

The business, which was launched in 1986, works in partnership with Willis, a top four global insurance broker, providing access to the resources of over 20,000 associates.
