North East tea company Ringtons will be refreshing visitors to two of the North East’s most popular visitor attractions this winter.

Ringtons Beverages, the food service division of Ringtons, has been awarded the contract to supply tea, coffee and hot chocolate to The Alnwick Garden and Alnwick Castle.

As part of the contract Ringtons Beverages will supply its premium tea and coffee products – all of which are roasted, brewed and packed at the firm’s Newcastle-based manufacturing plant in Byker – to the attractions, which host in excess of 260,000 visitors annually.

Stephen Drysdale, head of department at Ringtons Beverages, said: “The Alnwick Garden and Alnwick Castle are two of the North East’s most iconic visitor attractions. As an established North East-based company, this is a major contract for us and we are delighted to be able to add the venues to our portfolio of clients.”

The Alnwick Garden and Castle commercial director, David Hawke added: “The Alnwick Garden is committed to supporting the region’s food and beverage manufacturers and where possible all products served in the Pavilion Café are locally-sourced.

"Ringtons is renowned for the quality of its products and as a local supplier of tea and coffee, which has been based in the region for over 100 years, we are pleased to announce the company as a supplier.”

Ringtons Beverages specialises in supplying restaurants, coffee shops, offices, hotels, department stores, bakeries and gyms located throughout the UK. It provides clients with a service ranging from equipment and training through to products and support.
